The Australian Gridiron Officials Association (AGOA) is governed by a Management team and managed by a Chief Executive Officer. Its primary role is to train and provide officials for American Football games in Australia and beyond. Officials are encouraged to network with other officials, including overseas colleagues.
Officials start in their local competition and can be selected for the state, national and international competitions for all levels Mens, Womens and Juniors. All competitions in Australia are conducted under International Federation of American Football (IFAF) rules.
AGOA has been providing leagues and tournaments with a consistently high level of officiating since 1992. Our officials are trained, certified, and assessed on their abilities to provide
safe, fair, and enjoyable competitive experiences for players, coaches, and fans. Our members are drawn from active leagues in ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania. If you’re near a major metropolitan area in one of these states and are interested in becoming an official please visit our ‘How to join’ page for more information.
